Penguin presents this downloadable audiobook edition, of the number one, bestselling title in this new spin-off series from Percy Jackson creator, Rick Riordan. It definitely helps to read the Percy Jackson series first. She is also beginning to understand that the lessons these books are helping her to learn will help her throughout her life!! That is the best compliment I can give to any author and his/her stories. Parents say ( 11 ): Kids say ( 139 ): The story set-up isn't terribly smooth, and this is a denser read than the first few Percy Jackson books, but once the action heats up, that's easily forgotten. I’m thankful there are stories that have captured her interest and attention. ![]() These books have helped my granddaughter, who is just about 8 years old, to learn to think about what will happen once she has said or done something. ![]() Age appropriate explanations of actions and consequences. The concept of right and wrong should be installed into young people at an early age. The message I see in both series is one of honesty, and friendship and trust. I like that they’re being mixed together and how these series are overlapping. Greek mythology is just as fascinating as Roman mythology. ![]()
